Product Overview

Nonwoven Geotextile Fabric Solutions

Nonwoven Geotextile is an essential synthetic material for modern civil, hydraulic, and environmental engineering. We produce it using a needle-punching process from 100% virgin polyester (PET) or polypropylene (PP) fibers. This creates a robust, permeable fabric designed to solve soil stability and drainage challenges.

Key Engineering Functions

Tianyuan’s nonwoven geotextiles provide four critical functions for your projects:

  1. Filtration: It allows water to pass through while retaining soil particles. This prevents the internal erosion of soil structures.
  2. Separation: It prevents the mixing of different soil layers, such as subgrade and aggregate. This maintains the structural integrity of roads and railways.
  3. Drainage: The fabric collects and transports excess water within its plane. This ensures effective relief of hydrostatic pressure.
  4. Protection: It acts as a cushion to protect geomembranes and other liners from mechanical damage and puncture.

Why Choose Tianyuan Geotextile>=

As a dedicated manufacturer in China, Tianyuan offers high-performance geosynthetics for global projects:

Seamless Large Widths

Installation Guide

1

Surface Preparation

Clear the subgrade of sharp objects, large stones, and debris. Level the surface to ensure uniform support.

2

Fabric Deployment

Unroll the geotextile flat on the prepared surface. Avoid dragging and ensure the fabric is free of wrinkles.

3

Overlap Management

Overlap adjacent rolls by at least 30-50cm. For critical applications, thermal bonding or sewing is recommended.

4

Placement of Overlays

Carefully place the next layer (soil, stone, or geomembrane) over the geotextile to avoid displacement or tearing.

5

Securing the Fabric

Use U-shaped pins or temporary ballast (sandbags) to secure the fabric in windy conditions during installation.

6

Post-Installation Check

Inspect the entire covered area for any punctures or gaps in the overlaps before final covering.

7

Packaging & OEM

Durable Roll Packing

Each roll is wrapped in a heavy-duty, UV-stabilized woven bag to protect against moisture and handling damage.

FAQ

What is the difference between PET and PP nonwoven geotextile?

PET (Polyester) has a higher melting point and better UV resistance, making it suitable for exposed or high-temperature environments. PP (Polypropylene) has superior chemical resistance, especially in highly alkaline soils, and is generally more cost-effective for underground drainage.

How do I choose the right weight (GSM) for my project?

The choice depends on the application. 100-200g is common for filtration and light separation; 300-500g is used for geomembrane protection and road subgrade; 600-800g is for heavy-duty hydraulic and landfill engineering.

Is this fabric UV resistant?

Yes, our geotextiles are treated with UV stabilizers to ensure they maintain their strength during the construction phase when exposed to sunlight. However, long-term performance is best achieved when covered by soil or a liner.

Can nonwoven geotextile be used for drainage?

Absolutely. Its needle-punched structure creates a three-dimensional pore network that allows water to flow freely while preventing fine soil particles from clogging the drainage system.

Does Tianyuan provide testing reports?

Yes, every batch undergoes strict internal QC testing. We also provide test reports based on ASTM or ISO standards upon request for project compliance.
