APP modified bitumen waterproofing membrane combines petroleum asphalt, APP (Atactic Polypropylene) polymer modification, reinforcement, and selected surface finishes into a torch-applied membrane system for roofing and waterproofing applications.
APP-modified membranes are commonly selected for projects where heat resistance (up to 130degC), dimensional stability, and durability under elevated roof temperatures are important selection criteria. This makes APP the preferred choice for hot-climate regions, high-solar-load roofing, and exposed mineral-finished roof systems.
TY-SHIELD supports project-specific APP membrane supply by reinforcement type, thickness, upper-surface finish, quantity, export packing method, and OEM private-label requirements. Contact our team with your project specification for a competitive factory quotation.

All thicknesses and surface finishes shown are available in standard production. Custom roll dimensions, packaging and private-label printing are available subject to minimum order quantity. Final configuration should be selected according to climate, substrate, waterproofing system design, exposure condition and local project specifications.
Suitable for industrial, commercial, and residential roofing systems, especially where heat resistance and high-temperature stability are key requirements.
Suitable for selected below-grade waterproofing assemblies where an APP modified torch-applied membrane is specified by the project system.
Suitable for selected underground structures, retaining walls, and project-specific waterproofing assemblies subject to approved system design.
Available for selected bridge, municipal, and water-conservancy projects subject to model-specific technical confirmation.
APP polymer modification supports membrane stability in elevated temperature and high-solar-load roofing environments, maintaining integrity where standard membranes may soften.
Reinforced membrane construction helps maintain the intended membrane geometry during installation and under normal thermal cycling in service.
APP membrane configurations with mineral granule surfaces are commonly specified for exposed hot-climate roof systems requiring UV resistance.
Select the appropriate reinforcement, thickness, and surface-finish combination for non-exposed, multi-layer, or mineral-finished roof systems.

Ensure the substrate is smooth, dry, clean, and free from loose material, sharp projections, standing water, oil, and debris.
Apply compatible bitumen primer where required and allow the primer to dry before membrane installation.
Unroll the membrane for positioning, align overlaps and details, then roll back the membrane section for torch application.
Heat the burn-off PE film and substrate evenly until the bitumen layer is ready for bonding, then roll forward with controlled pressure.
Rolls are vertically palletized and secured with heavy-duty strapping, stretch-film, and protective wrapping for safe ocean transit.
Custom wrapping films, private labels, and branded core sleeves available for wholesale partners.
Custom pallet labels, outer-package markings, and brand-specific core sleeves available.
Store horizontally in dry conditions between +5degC and +30degC in original packaging. Shelf life 12 months.
