TY-SHIELD™ self-adhesive membrane is the modern answer to traditional torch-on systems—eliminating open flames, binders, and complex equipment. Using a premium rubberized asphalt compound, it bonds instantly to primed substrates, forming a continuous, monolithic barrier for everything from residential roofing to heavy civil infrastructure.
Eliminates fire risk and hot-work permits. Mandatory for refineries, wooden structures, and confined spaces.
The "creep" property of modified bitumen automatically seals minor punctures and fastener penetrations.
Reduces job-site labor time by up to 50% compared to traditional torch-applied or cold-bonding methods.
| Classification | Options Available | Key B2B Consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Reinforcement | Class N (Non-Reinforced) / Class PY (Polyester) | Specify Class PY for heavy-duty infrastructure and high-puncture risks. |
| Performance Grade | Type I / Type II (High Performance) | Type II offers superior low-temp flexibility down to -30°C. |
| Surface Layer | PE / PET / ALU / Sand / Green Strong Film | Use Aluminum Foil for direct UV exposure and heat reflection. |
Building a Standard Roof in Moderate Climate?
Specify 1.5mm Class N with PE surface. It offers the best cost-to-performance ratio for general roofing underlayment.
Basement or High Hydrostatic Pressure?
Always use 3.0mm-4.0mm Class PY (Type II). The high-tensile polyester core prevents ruptures during soil settlement.

Applied without the use of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or hot binders, making it ideal for indoor environments, food processing facilities, and hospitals where air quality and odor control are paramount.
Unlike fluid-applied systems, a factory-produced self-adhesive membrane is supplied with a defined nominal thickness. Confirm the product tolerance, substrate preparation, lap treatment, and installation quality requirements in the product TDS.
Maintains high elastic strain capacity, allowing it to bridge substrate cracks and accommodate significant building movement without losing its watertight integrity, even in deep below-grade applications.
Protected by a high-strength siliconized release liner that ensures the adhesive properties remain pristine until the exact moment of application, preventing contamination and ensuring a perfect bond every time.

Values shown apply to the stated product configuration. Other reinforcement types (N / PY), surface materials (PE / PET / ALU / Sand / D), and performance grades (Type I / II) may have different performance values. Request the corresponding TDS and batch test report before specification or procurement.
Substrate must be clean, dry, firm, and free of dust, oil, grease, and loose particles. Apply cold bitumen primer on porous surfaces like concrete and masonry for optimal adhesion.
Do not apply during rain, snow, or strong wind. Installation below 5°C may reduce initial tack — gentle indirect warming of the adhesive side improves cold-weather bond performance.
Unroll the membrane and allow it to relax. Start from the lowest point on horizontal surfaces, working upward so that overlaps naturally shed water.
Peel back the release film progressively while unrolling the membrane onto the primed substrate. For double-side variants, peel liners from both faces.
Each roll is wrapped with protective core sleeves and polyethylene film. Rolls are stacked vertically on fumigated wooden pallets with corner protectors and strapping for ocean freight.
Full support for custom roll labels, barcodes, brand marks, and packaging design. We supply your market with your brand — minimum order quantities vary by specification.
Store rolls vertically in original packaging, in a cool, dry, covered area away from direct sunlight. Recommended storage temperature: +5°C to +35°C. Shelf life: 12–18 months from production date.
